the devolution of the republican party continues as 50 conservative national security experts issued a statement that called into question donald trump's qualification to be president saying he would be 'the most reckless president in american history'.   they also said he is eroding the moral authority of the country as a leader of the free world, lacking a basic knowledge and understanding of u.s. laws, the constitution and u.s. institutions.   they did practically everything but call him a bad father and lousy husband.

of course donald couldn't help but fire back, calling them 'members of the failed washington elite' whose 'gravy train is over' and are the ones to whom the people of america should look to in order to find out the answers to the questions on 'why the world is in such a mess'.   he does tend to forget that these were people who worked mostly only in republican administrations for republican bosses and had little to say on exactly how policies were implemented.  in other words, 'they were only following orders'.   he also includes the obligatory references to benghazi, making other countries pay their fair share (but not the wealthy in this country) and blaming the whole stinking lot of them for the rise of isis.   it's not just hillary's fault anymore but in that regard he might just be telling a little bit of the truth.

now, while donald may be a tad upset with this lot, he can rest assured he still has his faithful following. like the guy who called in to c-span to declare his devotion.   kind of.   he said he admired donald for his directness, his ability to speak his mind and his bullheadedness but, at the same time, he said those were also qualities that just might get him into trouble, possibly even leading him to go so far as to start world war III.   as he said, 'there's only one thing that scares me......he's very headstrong and he don't (sic) like listening to people.'   and if there ever was to be a world war it would be because of his temperament, 'being so bull-headed and headstrong'.

however, never let it be said he didn't want to leave it on a positive note.   as he left it, 'we'd probably win.
