week in review...
of course, i have to start off with the tragedy at sandy hook elementary. less than 24 hours and they're already starting the pro/anti gun tug of war. i will state i am not anti-gun, but i do have a few questions for those of you who are fully on the pro side: if you feel you need a gun for your own protection, why 4..or 6..10? if you hunt, i can fully understand the need of a rifle; but why would you need an uzi or an ak47, or any automatic weapon? and if you're a straight-shooter (pun intended), why would you fear a background check or why would a waiting period or required training be an anathema? just wondering...which ever side you're on, i'm sure we can agree this is something that should never EVER happen again and through reasonable discourse we can find a way to make that a reality. NOW, for the tickles and twists (FYI..tickle my fancy, twist my nipples)..... i loved the pictures of the two elderly lesbians getting their marriage license in washington. and it so warms my heart that people are starting to separate sex from marriage. marriage is a public affirmation of your commitment to another human being, something that should be celebrated......now for a walk on the other side. a local milwaukee judge ordered a dead-beat dad who has fathered 9 children by 6 different women to refrain from having sex. no fine, no jail time for the thousands of dollars owed in back child support, just no sex. what are they going to do, put a gps on his penis? many people can't make sense of this one, can you? ......gov walker says the aboltion of same-day voter registration is not on his agenda, basically because it would cost millions to do so and also might run afoul of federal regulatons, but some state republicans are talking about trying to replace judges on the government accountability board, the guys who verify election results with partisan appointees. sounds like "i don't like the decisions you make, so i'm going to get people who agree with me..nyahnyahnyah." sounds like bitter poor losers to me....too soon after the election to start wondering if hilary is going to run in 2016. and now with this recent health scare, people will just add that to the age issue which , like with mccain, they will start tossing around. vital, capable, energetic, intelligent..these are just of few of the positives that should be considered.....a monkey in a shearling coat outside ikea. how cute, but on every news cast ad nauseum? c'mon.......well, that concludes my rant review for this week. by the way, can you figure out which was a tickle and which was a twist? i'll never tell......
