THE MAIN EVENT: ROUND 3
heading into the second day of the democratic manager's arguments, our fearless leader held a press conference in davos, switzerland where he couldn't help but lash out in his usual fashion by lying his ass off and attacking the proceedings in the senate, along with a slight detour to dismiss greta thunberg getting time's 'person of the year', saying she should concentrate on other countries and leave america alone, which he said was 'clean and beautiful' and 'everything is good'.
inevitably returning to the subject of his impeachment, he made several surprising (and some not so surprising) statements:
when asked if he felt 'abuse of power' was an impeachable offense, he replied "well, it depends", before going off on how he always makes such good deals, then returning to the subject of his 'perfect call' which he claims nobody's talking about anymore. i guess he's not paying attention.
a reporter asked if he thought he might attend the proceedings, he said, "i'd love to go. wouldn't that be great? wouldn't that be beautiful? i'd love to sit right in the front row and stare in their corrupt faces. i'd love to do that." but he said his legal team "might have a problem with that." returning to form, he called adam schiff in one of those not-so-surprising moments, "a major sleazebag".
on the subject of witnesses he said he'd love to hear testimony from the likes of john bolton. mick mulvaney and mike pompeo but that it was totally up to the senate (which i thought was working in totally harmony with the white house. if he'd "love" to hear them testify, one would think it would be an 'okay, boss, whatever you want' deal'), adding that their testimonies might pose national security concerns.
in order to put some kind of exclamation point on the fact he dislikes the whole impeachment thing, he brings up the 'fact' he opposed the impeachment of bill clinton, even though (according to donald) he'd been accused of 'really bad things', like lying. he then added, "NOW WITH ME, THERE'S NO LYING." REALLY! THE GUY WHO'S GOT A VERIFIABLE LIST OF 15,000+ LIES CLAIMS HE DOESN'T LIE BY LYING ABOUT IT!
finally, putting that whole subject aside, a reporter asked about the iranian missile attack, after which he'd posted "all's well", though since then we'd learned that 11 servicemen had been injured, mostly with traumatic brain injuries and concussions. at this point i will post a direct quote from the man who has time and again expressed his 'love' and 'respect' for the men and women who serve. i repeat, this is A DIRECT QUOTE:
"No, i heard that they had headaches, and a couple of other things, but i would say, and i can report, it's not very serious."
when pressed about the seriousness of such injuries he replied:
"They told me about it several days later, you'd have to ask the Department of Defense. I don't consider it very serious relative to other injuries I've seen (NOTE: YOU CAN'T 'SEE' A TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY!). I've seen what Iran has done with their roadside bombs to our troops. I've seen people with no legs and no arms. I've seen people that were horribly, horribly in that area, that war. No, I don't consider that to be bad injuries, no."
i'll leave it with that, that quote from the 'commander-in-chief' who proudly declares his 'love' and 'respect' to our troops. now, we'll return to the process by which it'll be determined whether or not he deserves to remain in office. in my opinion, with that one statement he has violated his oath to 'protect and defend'.
like i said, just my opinion. i wonder what some of those patriotic senators would think.
