Katrina Pierson
One of the first and most visible faces, she had a very checkered personal and political career. She was arrested for shoplifting in 1997 at the age of 20 but pulled herself together enough to earn a bachelors of science in biology (a definite plus for someone destined for a career in politics) by 2006. After voting for Obama in 2008, she became involved with the Tea Party Movement, calling for Texas secession in 2009 and by 2012 was actively supporting Ted Cruz in his senate race. In her failed congressional bid she was praised and supported Cruz, his father, Rafael and Sarah Palin but lost and during a Tea Party event January, 2015, for which she was spokesperson, she met Donald Trump for the first time and by November of that year she was appointed his campaign spokesperson, leaving "Lyin' Ted" (as Donald loved to call him) in the dust.
During her tenure as spokesman during the campaign she became noted for her combative style and as a staunch advocate for the second amendment wearing a necklace made of bullets. Though no longer in her capacity after the election she continues her ministry of defending it's words and actions but without the the signature jewelry statement but she still tends to be as feisty and devoted as ever.
Janine Pirro
A lifelong Republican, former judge and district attorney from New York and devout Catholic, Pirro is not now nor has she ever been officially part of the campaign but as a host and commentator on Fox she is certainly one of the staunchest (and loudest) advocates for the administration. She never talks, she screams and rants, and those rants have included ones advocating for the investigation of Hillary Clinton and The Clinton Foundation, Loretta Lynch and her 'obviously conspiratorial' meeting with Bill on the tarmac and practically anybody she perceives as standing in the way of The Administration's Agenda no matter what their political affiliation. In March she went on (and on and on) calling for the resignation of Paul Ryan, tearing him a new one after the defeat of the AHCA because, according to her, he didn't do enough.
Kayleigh Macenany
(I found this picture and i had to use it)
Unlike Katrina and more like Janine, Kayleigh has an education and background that would make you think that she knows of what she speaks, You'd think? After graduating from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service with a B.S., she worked as a producer for Mike Huckabee's television show. She then moved on to interning for the likes of Geotge W. Bush (among others) in his 2004 presidential campaign in the White House Office Of Communications, Media Affairs department. She announced her endorsement of Trump on February 1, 2016 and was frequently called on as a CNN contributor to defend Trump. On August 5, 2017 she tweeted that she'd left CNN for a 'new position' and the next day was hosting a 'news' show on Donald Trump's Facebook page, in partnership with Eric Trump's wife, Lara Yunaska. The day after that the RNC announced she was the new national spokesperson for television and radio. Yes, the girl moves fast and it's evident she wants to maintain those Trump family ties so it's no wonder she feels a need to defend the administration. She may not be officially part of the administration but, for her, it's personal.
Ann Coulter
What can I say about this one without having the urge to say 'horseface'? But I promised myself from the beginning I would try not to make anything personal unless it really mattered so I'll bite my tongue. Again, this 'person' is not now nor ever has been an official part of this administration or the campaign leading up to it but she was for the longest time one of it's fiercest advocates, even being one of the first non-clerical persons to proclaim that Trump was 'sent by God'. Of course, there are many who'd like to ask 'Why? What have we done wrong?' but that's for another time. Lately, however, Ann hasn't been as kind, complaining he hasn't lived up to his promises (i.e. the muslim-ban-that's-not-a-ban didn't go far enough even when there was a chance it would actually go anywhere) and The Wall looks like another broken pledge. The only times it seems she makes an appearance these days is when she's got a book to hype and even the shows where she was once a semi-regular have shoved her onto the list of 'if we have to and there isn't anybody else available'. Oh, well, she's always got her speaking engagements that attract protesters which allow her the chance to go out afterward and bitch about the 'leftist nazis' are trying to deny her her god-given right to speak. That's always worth a buck or two.
Kellyanne
Like Cher, Madonna Or Liza, this one needs no last name. She's the one who, every time she comes on t.v., you automatically wish she'd go away. Every time she starts to give those non-answers or begins the dance of deflection and diversion (the one that starts "but Hillary...") you feel the need to, I'll put it politely, evacuate your bowels? Loose your lunch? Punch a wall or any face that happens to come your way? Being one who's been around almost longer than any other of her gender (be nice and don't ask which one), she's more than likely The One to know just where all the facts are buried. Just the sound of her voice makes one long for the melodic sound of nails on a chalkboard. She knows everything about everything, except the meaning of the words 'go away'. How many times have we heard this or that network news show isn't going to have her on until she starts to be more forthcoming yet she persists (and not in the good way) and keeps popping up like a chronic nagging pimple. She loves her boss (and not in the creepy Mooch way) and is always there to defend, 'alternate facts' in hand. Whatever her background, no matter who she last worked for or which agenda she last felt was THE ONE, she's found her latest gospel to announce and will, like that angel before the shepherds of old, proclaim her 'glad tidings' and remain faithful.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders
One of the newest kids on the block, the current Press Secretary (and preachers daughter) is following true to form, berating reporters as purveyors of 'fake news' and threatening to shut down briefings if reporters don't behave and ask questions more to her liking. Much like Kellyann, she has all the answers, except when she hasn't talked to the president about 'that' and has to 'get back to you'. Though not quite as combative as her predecessor, she still has the tendency to get testy but more in the line of a mother threatening to turn the car around if you don't behave. Granted, I haven't watched any more of the press briefings than i did when they were held by 'Spicey' because you never get anything out of them due to the drought of straight answers, so there may be some positive traits I may have missed but I certainly don't miss the proliferation of lies, half truths and sidestepping. One example of the last was the day she came before the cameras with Betsy Devos in tow to proudly proclaim that her boss, as evidence of his extreme generosity, was giving back that quarter's portion of his yearly salary (per his promise) to the Department of Education to fund a science/technology camp for kids. However, when she was asked what difference this gesture would make as his upcoming as yet unpresented, undiscussed budget proposed a $9+billion dollar cut to federal funds for education. Her non-answer to that specific question was a rehash of that rigmarole surrounding more promises about reducing out-of-control spending and reducing the deficit over the next 10 years while emphasizing the presidents commitment to quality education. Yup, that $100,000 is REALLY gonna help A LOT!! You know she was only saying what she was expected, maybe told, to say so you might try to dig up a little sympathy for the poor child who, in her youth, was probably taught that lying was a sin. And I tried. Not hard, but I tried. But no mater how fast or far I dug, the give-a-shit well was dry and all I came up with was a bucket of 'ask-me-if-I-care'.
Ivanka
(again, no last name needed)
Qualifications: Daughter, so there's the name recognition Designer of fashionable clothes, shoes and purses, now on clearance racks near you. Says she really doesn't want any role on politics so she gets an office in the White House because...? Experienced seat-filler at meetings of the world's leaders and standing in when the First Lady isn't in town or suddenly comes up with a migraine or simply doesn't want to be touched by those tiny fingers. Claims to have a moderating effect on her father but keeps her mouth shut when it really might matter most.
What more can i say.
Melania
(again...see above picture)
One can try to ask 'who should know a man better than his wife?' but in this case, with multiple wives it can almost be assured that you're going to get a lot of diverse answers, some may even be similar (depending on any pre-nups or non-disclosure agreements). In this particular case, when you have a husband who didn't go home for weeks on end, claiming he didn't mind living alone because it allowed him to 'get more work done without interruption' makes you wonder how she felt about being considered an 'interruption', not to mention how his young son might have been made to feel. It's hard to say if this woman has any influence on him or his agenda. Now First Ladies have traditionally had their interests, their pet projects or programs they wish to promote. Melania said she wanted to concentrate on bringing public awareness to the increasing epidemic of cyber-bullying.
However, considering her husband's propensity for late night tweets which often include insults and denigratory language, I'd say she's so far not doing a very good job (perhaps it's the English-is-a-second-language problem?) unless she's using him as an example of what not to do.
So, there we have a list of just some of the women-behind-the-throne, some now gone or so far behind they tend to be invisible. There certainly may be others: those in the steno pool; the clerks and filers that do the piddly for which they'll never receive recognition; the maids, the servers, the security personnel charged with maintaining and protecting the person and the premises. These are the ones who in their small ways actually do affect the way things are run and handled. They are the ones who deserve the thanks and the respect that they will likely never get. But, since I started off with an old saying, I'll end with one. A word to all those in the background:
"It's the squeakiest wheel that gets the grease"
And who wants to get all greasey.
