though he wasn't really officially designated as the wanker of the week, someone must've called cliven bundy to extend their congratulations and it's gone to his head. too bad. now he'll have to get a bigger hat.
but, seriously, how long is this dipwad going to be the seemingly neverending topic of discussion? sure, the guy is delusional enough to require monitoring and has attracted like-minded nitwits to stand by his side, but their numbers are dwindling. even the usually supportive voices at fox are falling silent, changing the subject when his name is simply mentioned, especially since his well-publicized blather about the 'negroes' having it much better off while wearing the fashionable yoke of slavery. some haven't bothered to weigh in, as is their habit, or have done so in a way that has evaded media scrutiny. even glenn beck, while voicing a degree of support for mr. bundy, falls short of fully endorsing him because of the backing he is receiving from some people, calling it a conservative version of the occupy movement because they're there for various reasons and not just to backup bundy. beck, who usually never misses a chance to lend his support to anything that vaguely smells of anti-obama or government conspiracy and i am the first to admit my search methods can be flawed (if not simply down-right nonexistent) but i have been unable to find any words from that font of wisdom, saint sarah. now, you'd think the minute you have a bunch of armed people claiming to be patriots standing up against an evil and overbearing federal government, ms. palin would be one of the first in line egging them on. maybe it's just that she can't backtrack like sean (hannity) or she's been waiting to see which line to actually get in. should she be behind rand (at least he's a republican...kindasortof) or obama (can she in good conscience agree with him on ANYTHING?). i did, however, find a site that wants to promote a palin/bundy (or bundy/palin?) ticket in 2016. sure way to guarantee a democrat victory no matter who runs, unless they really blow it with an off-the-wall candidate.
returning to his statement on the welfare of 'negroes' for a moment, yes, he does have his supporters. some have refused to believe it all (despite having it both on video along with the audio originally released) while others claim it's all been edited or otherwise doctored. they try to point out that it's missing the last few seconds and (and this one is a big game changer) that he actually had good things to say about hispanics; things like they have better family values and a MUCH better work ethic, while 'negroes' he's seen while driving through 'certain areas' of las vegas were just doing nothing but sitting on their porches...IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY!! apparently doing nothing but mooch off the taxes that honest people like him pay. oh wait, does he even pay taxes? he certainly would know first-hand about mooching. jeez! has the man never heard of days off or third-shift jobs? so, mexicans aren't lazy like 'negroes', but i will give him some credit because at least he didn't call them 'beaners'.
now, back to my original point, which seems slightly ironic since i have just spent a good portion of my time intending to rag about how this putz is being given too much attention and what do i do? yup. give him my attention. stupid, huh? whatever. sue me.
ANYWAY...
i started off by saying enough is enough, and i mean it. tag him. put an ankle bracelet on him so we know where he is at all times. make it easier for us to avoid him but stop inviting him in. don't give him attention he doesn't deserve. of course, i could say the same thing about the kardashians, but at least they're not as dangerous...only to the i.q. of people who watch their insipid show. as for me, i have to learn how to not let people like him get under my skin because every time i respond to someone who pushes the right button, i give them what they want...my reaction.
so please.
media.
stop giving him what he wants.
the cameras.
the microphone.
remember the age-old axiom. don't feed him. he'll go away.
