HISTORY!! part I

it's been over 24-hours and i'm still collecting little bits to put into my albums to help remind me of the day.    i must admit that when the announcement was made and i was watching the various sources rattle on, as they have a tendency to do, it was the pictures of the many happy faces that touched me most.   and, yes, i cried.   certainly because i was happy too, but it's not like i have a special someone waiting for me, so i must admit there was that tinge of sadness.   sadness because it didn't happen back when i did have my mark or my cory.   sadness because as much as i had always felt i was ready for my one-and-only happily-ever-after, the world was not ready to let me have it.   now i was watching a new generation celebrate the recognition of something that had been fought for by many over decades, couples smiling, hugging, kissing, i may not have been one of them but i was happy.   their world was finally ready and now was their time.

but enough of the maudlin.    yes, history has been made but with every such accomplishment one must realize there is another side, for which on this particular topic there is no shortage of voices.   and since the proponents of the supreme court decision have adopted #lovewins, it seems only appropriate the opposing voices be given their own motto.   introducing....

                                                                #RIGHTWHINES!

one of the first to raise the alarm against the onslaught of the evil gays was who else but bryan fischer, the virulent voice of the american family association since, naturally, a true american family could never consist of loving same-sex couples.   bryan managed to paste together multiple references to past symbols of sin in order to rally his forces against the coming on-slaught of newly-wedded guides to damnation.   in a span of about two minutes he is able to connnect 9/11 to sodom and gomorrah.   as much as i hate to give him the time ans space, this is really something you have to read:
"from a moral standpoint, 6/26 is the new 9/11, because it was on this day that five justices of the united states supreme court became moral jihadists. they became rainbow jihadists and they blasted the twin pillars of truth and righteousness into rubble. and they did this by imposing sodomy-based marriage on the united states through an act of judicial tyranny.
"we, the people, have ceased to be our own rulers.  we are now serfs on a plantation that's  being run by cultural elites who wear black robes and use the gavels like the slaveholders of old used to use their whips, to beat us, as social conservatives, into submission.
"today, june 26, 2015, is a date that will live in infamy.  on this date, the united states became   sodom and gomorrah."

           wow!
behind all that celebrating, who knew there was all that awful nastiness?   two references to muslim terrorism; one to tryranny.  a big chunk putting us back under the thumb of 'ole massa slavery and closing up with a return to the original 'sin cities'.    i'm kind of surprised not a single finger being pointed in the direction of obama.   and i thought the pillars of our country's legal system were truth and justice; i don't believe righteousness comes in anywhere.
i also find it slightly humorous that had the decision come down the other way, bryan would be praising this very same court as the most intelligent and honest, and to use his own words, the most truthful and righteous in american, if not all of human, history.
           whatever.
after that, i need a break.
i'll be back with part II.
